Express News Plugin

Brief: this plugin enables you to add short fast news and be categorized into groups. Every single piece of news should not exceed one thousand characters as it consists of a picture and short sentences. The plugin as well allows the visitors to press “like” the published news. 

Express news plugin settings: 

1-Log In to the control panel

2-From the setting list, select (Plugins settings) as the below picture: 

3-A list will show up, choose (Express news settings) as shown below: 

The below setting options will show up: 

General Settings: 

-Activate express news: activate or deactivate the plugin.

-Activate liking news: activate this options, so visitors can like the added news. 

-Activate categories: activate this option, so you can categorize the news to groups such as (Sport news, Economy news, etc,). 

-Number of contents per page: set the number of displayed contents on each page of the plugin. For example, if you have 100 news and you want to display 20 ones on each page, so there are 5 pages of the plugin. A list of numbered pages is shown up beneath the contents. 

-Max number of characters in news content: set the maximum number of the news characters noting that it should not exceed 1000 characters. 

Block Settings: 

-Activate block per category: activate this option so a block is created for each category. For example, if there are two categories of the sports news and economic news, so there will be two blocks that can be moved wherever on the website. 

-Add News page link to block: activate this option and the (news page) link will be added beneath the block. 

-Number of contents per page in main block: set the number of displayed contents on each page of the plugin. For example, if you have 100 news and you want to display 20 ones on each page, so there are 5 pages of the plugin. A list of numbered pages is shown up beneath the contents. 

-Number of contents in other blocks: other blocks are the categories blocks, through which you can set the allowed number of blocks used for every category block. 

Images Settings: 

Maximum allowed image size: set the maximum allowed size of the uploaded picture. 

Press (Edit Settings) to save. 

Add Express news: 

to add the new category, follow the below steps: 

From the control panel> plugins> express news> then add category as shown in the below picture: 

The below template will show up: 

-Name: enter the category name such as (sport, technology, international.. et,) 

Press (Submit) to save it (Reset) to re enter new data. 

To add new news, follow the below: 

From the control panel> plugins> express news> then categories list as shown in the below picture: 

The below picture will show up: 

Press (Add), and the below template will show up: 

You can follow the below as well to add news: 

From the control panel> plugins> express news> then add news as shown in the below picture: 

And the previously mentioned template will show up also. 

To list, edit, or delete the express news, follow the below: 

From the control panel> plugins> express news> then news list as shown in the below picture: 

The below picture will show up: 

There are three icons in the action list: 

-View Icon: is used to show the news on the website. 

-Edit Icon: is used to edit the added news. 

-Delete Icon: is used to delete the added news.

As well as, you can mark (select all) and mark multiple pieces of news and press the button ( Delete) to delete the selected ones.
